CHEC are actively recruiting Endoscopists to join the rest of the team at our brand new, state of the art Community Endoscopy Centres across England.

 

CHEC has been providing rapid access for NHS patients and commissioners, to high quality eye care and day-surgery in a community setting for over 12 years. We are now starting a similar model of service in endoscopy.

 

Leading the way in direct access services CHEC will be working closely with primary care clinicians and commissioners to support the investigation and treatment of NHS patients and reduce waiting times at local NHS hospitals.

 

We design locally agreed integrated pathways helping provide patient-centred endoscopy services through a one stop service. Each of our centres are purpose-built at central, community-based locations, easily accessed by public transport.

 

Our services include Gastroscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, and Haemorrhoidal Banding.

 

The Endoscopist is required to provide some or all the following services:

 

  • Upper GI Endoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy and Colonoscopy,
  • Telephone advice to referring clinicians
  • Attendance and participation at Company and governance meetings
  • Triage of referrals

 

What skills and experience will you need to apply?

  • Considerable experience of both upper and lower GI endoscopy
  • Demonstrate understanding of JAG standards and requirements in an Endoscopy Service
  • Valid GMC, NMC or HCPC registration
