You’ll be joining Futures at an exciting time of change for the Group, delivering a full range of services on an exciting range of projects giving our Clerk of Works real diversity in their role.

You’ll be a completer, finisher with a real talent for partnering with Contractors and Project Teams alike.

You’ll be proactive in identifying potential difficulties, swift in taking preventative actions and detail focussed when reporting on contract progress.

You’ll be quality focussed when meeting project targets and your technical knowledge will be invaluable when executing our schemes in accordance with standards.

A few key points from our role profile:

  • Monitor the quality of all materials and workmanship ensuring compliance with the building contract/development agreement and drawings/specifications. Carry out all snagging and weekly technical inspections to ensure completion to required standard. To deliver a full range of clerk of works services on allocated projects, be it S.106 planning gain, package deal, off-the-shelf purchases and/or land-led development.
  • Ensure the Employers Agent and their representatives undertake the relevant number of inspections. Working with the Employers Agent to advise of potential problems and establish satisfactory construction outcomes.
  • Work in close partnership with the contractor and Internal and external project team, to support the overall objectives of construction to time, cost and quality of the project.
  • Keep accurate records on site and report regularly to the Futures scheme project manager. Provide specific contract and general technical support to the team.
  • Ensure that all adoption inspections have been carried out together with all work for the final handover.
  • To take action to identify potential difficulties on site and take preventative actions.

Your weekly hours of work would be 37, Mon - Thurs 8:00am till 4:00pm, Fri 8:00am till 3:30pm with 30 minutes break for lunch break, paid monthly. You'll also get 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and concessionary days holiday at Christmas.
