Position: Lecturer – Maths & Physics

Salary: £26,838 - £33,074 per annum

Contract: Permanent 

Location: Sheffield

Hours: 33.3 x 52 weeks per year

About the Role

The role of Maths and Physics Lecturer is ideal if you want a varied role where you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the success of our Maths and Physics students within the Sheffield Sixth Form. Have a passion for teaching and wish to contribute to a college which believes that each student has a capacity to excel, regardless of their background.

Key Responsibilities

  • The design and delivery of the A level Maths and Physics curriculum
  • Assessing student work and providing timely and constructive feedback
  • Liaising with students, parents and stakeholders
  • Meeting with diverse needs of our students and providing extracurricular opportunities for learners
  • Tracking and monitoring learner progress and providing extracurricular opportunities for learners

Skills & Knowledge

  • Be empathetic
  • Have a student first approach
  • Be passionate for your subject
  • Hold an Honours Degree in Maths or Physics or related subject
  • Hold or be prepared to work towards a recognised teaching qualification
