Position Summary 

Reporting to the General Manager of the GREENSTEEL Academy within the HR function, this role will take accountability for providing full support in the design and delivery of the strategy and plan. The role leads the design and development of tools and resources which are innovative and engaging and meet a variety of training needs to suit all levels across the organization. These solutions will align with workforce planning outcomes and complex, unique business contexts to support the rapid growth in capability of GFG’s people at scale.

This role will evolve over time. It requires a flexible attitude with the ability to work to high standards within existing guidelines and processes as well as being comfortable navigating ambiguity with changing business requirements.

The role suits an engaging leader who can manage a team of quality driven, creative content designers and developers (potentially remotely) to support their performance and ensure the products are delivered in scope and on time.

In addition to following traditional training needs analysis and workforce planning processes, this position also involves exploring and synthesizing complex information, together with senior stakeholder insights to identify future critical skills and learning needs that are yet to be defined.

This role requires a deep understanding of adult learning, a passion for workforce learning and staying current with modern approaches and tools as well as building the capability of others and taking full accountability for delivering quality solutions at pace. It involves contributing to team projects and tasks outside their immediate responsibilities.

The ability to communicate effectively at all levels is essential.

Job Responsibilities

  • Providing full support to the General Manager in the design and delivery of the Academy’s strategy and plans
  • Leading a team of content developers including goal setting and managing deliverables
  • Leading the design of all Academy training programs and supporting assets
  • Identification and implementation of appropriate digital tools
  • Providing consultancy on Learning and Development approaches and tools to the wider Learning and Development community across the Group
  • Consulting with business leads and technical subject matter experts on appropriate solutions to identified requirements
  • Leading design of communications and engagement campaigns of Academy initiatives
  • Creating processes and policies to support learning and development activities as agreed with our stakeholders
  • Partnering with local business Learning Teams to promote the GREENSTEEL Academy through implementation of talent and learning initiatives and events.
  • Proactively supporting the GREENSTEEL Academy team and stakeholders with any additional ad-hoc tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified
  • Qualification in production of online content desired
  • Qualification in instructional design and learning programme development

  • eLearning authoring tools - Articulate 360 experience essential
  • Office365 tools
  • Yammer
  • SharePoint and WordPress websites highly regarded
  • LMS365 highly regarded

Skills & Experience

  • 5 + years of experience project managing digital and traditional learning projects, campaigns and events in a corporate learning environment including communications, branding and engagement activities
  • Expert in applying adult learning theories and instructional design models for a variety of blended learning interventions
  • Experience in curating and combining internal and external learning resources from a variety of sources into a cohesive training programme
  • Comfortable exploring complex information and questioning key stakeholders about future critical skills requirements to identify probable learning needs
  • Demonstration of learning agility in picking up relevant creative and learning software e.g. Dynamic QR codes, 360 image photography
  • Understanding and awareness of current and up and coming Learning trends and technologies
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with great attention to detail
  • Knowledge of workforce planning activities highly regarded
  • Knowledge of LEAN SIX SIGMA methodologies highly regarded
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications for different audiences
  • Excellent written and spoken business English. Other languages - desirable
