The Vacancy
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Gilbert & Goode, an award-winning new homes developer in the South West, for a full time, permanent, Technical Manager working within the Pre-Construction team.
Part of the Ocean Housing Group, Gilbert & Goode has a reputation for creating great places to live and providing an excellent customer experience.
You will be a key contributor to this by working with the Technical Team Lead and Pre-Construction Director to deliver G&G's ambitious mixed residential development programme to meet Business Plan timings and expectations.
You will have proven Technical Management experience in either a Contractor, Housebuilder or Registered Provider environment and will have the ability to technically lead on a varied and mixed portfolio of open market/s106 and affordable schemes. You will be the primary technical point of contact for your assigned schemes and manage the design / regulatory approval process from planning to completion of build.
With a strong technical awareness, and a proven track record of leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams of consultants you will be fostering good relationships in regulatory authorities and ensuring our developments are optimised to maximise value to the Group.
Qualifications and Experience
It is essential you hold a HND or equivalent level 5 qualification in any discipline and it is desirable this is in a construction, engineering or development related discipline.
You will have a broad knowledge and experience of the technical process within housebuilding or a Registered Provider environment, from land acquisition through to final handover and a proven track record of successfully delivering residential schemes within a housebuilding environment
Using excellent interpersonal and communication skills you will be confident at communicating at all levels within a business and your personal project design teams.
