Department:

Cox Automotive Europe is leading the digital transformation of the automotive industry, empowering dealers, OEMs, and buyers with cutting-edge tools that redefine how vehicles are managed, traded, and optimised. Our pan-European programme includes a groundbreaking Decision Engine, an AI-driven platform that turns complex data into actionable insights, enabling smarter decisions across inventory, pricing, and supply chains. Join us to shape the future of automotive intelligence.

Scope of Role:

As Business Analyst for Back Office Systems, you’ll be the linchpin between business stakeholders and technical teams, optimising Salesforce-driven processes for finance, marketing, invoicing, and customer onboarding. You’ll translate complex operational challenges into actionable requirements, ensuring systems like Salesforce, ERP, and payment gateways work harmoniously to support our growing marketplace.

Within the organisation, you’ll work with multiple stakeholders across the wider international business as well as Sales, Operations, Customer Support, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Senior Business Leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Analysis & Optimisation

- Map current-state workflows (e.g., invoicing, payment reconciliation, compliance checks) and identify inefficiencies.

- Design future-state processes leveraging Salesforce automation, third-party integrations (e.g., Stripe, SAP), and AI-driven tools.

- Create user stories, process diagrams, and acceptance criteria for development teams.

 2. Salesforce Configuration & Requirements

- Act as the SME for Salesforce back-office modules (e.g., Financial Services Cloud, CPQ, Service Cloud).

- Collaborate with developers to configure workflows, validation rules, and reports that align with business needs.

- Ensure GDPR/PSD2 compliance in data handling and reporting.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration

- Partner with Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to gather requirements (e.g., automated tax calculations, audit trails).

- Facilitate workshops to prioritise back-office improvements (e.g., reducing manual data entry by 70%).

- Train end-users on new Salesforce features and processes.

 4. Data-Driven Decision Support

- Analyse back-office metrics (e.g., invoice cycle time, payment error rates) to recommend system optimisations.

- Build dashboards in Salesforce or Power BI to track KPIs and drive accountability.

 5. Cross-System Integration

- Document requirements for integrations between Salesforce, ERP (e.g., SAP), and payment platforms (e.g., Stripe).

- Validate data flows and troubleshoot issues during UAT.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

Essential

- 5+ years as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst, with 3+ years focused on Salesforce in back-office functions (finance, compliance, operations).

- Expertise in process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

- Proven ability to write clear user stories, manage backlogs, and prioritise requirements.

- Technical fluency: Salesforce configuration, basic SQL, API concepts, and data governance.

- Strong understanding of EU regulations (GDPR, PSD2, VAT).

Desired

- Salesforce Admin certification (or working toward it).

- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) or payment gateways (Stripe, Adyen).

- Knowledge of automation tools (UiPath, Sapier) or AI-driven process optimisation.

- Fluency in German, French, or Spanish is helpful.
