Winterflood Securities are currently recruiting a trader with ~1-3 years’ experience in a trading environment to work within the Front Office alongside experienced Equity traders.

 

This opportunity would suit a certified Dealer, or possibly Back/Middle Office professionals who hold a clear passion for Financial Markets and the commitment to pivot into the Front Office. Winterflood will support all successful applicants with access to industry training such as formal CISI Financial Regulation and Securities exams.

 

Duties will include:

 

  • Provide general day to day support to senior personnel and their designated desks
  • Keep up to date with market themes and current global and macroeconomic news
  • Develop an understanding of financial markets, products and services
  • Adhere to compliance & legal requirements, industrial regulations, organizational policies and professional codes
  • Assisting in managing client relationships and day-to-day customer support
  • Trade execution using various trading strategies and tools of liquidity including but not limited to RSP, dark pools, algorithms and order board trading
  • Build internal relationship with sales-traders, providing support around client orders

 

Requirements

 

  • ~1-3 years professional experience in a Trading role covering the FTSE/SmallCap/MidCap market (desired)
  • 2+ years working in a Trading-adjacent function with interest in pivoting into Front Office
  • Demonstrable active interest in Financial Markets
  • Excellent academic record; educated to A-Level (or equivalent) and upwards
  • Strong analytical / mathematical skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Quick learner, with ability to question and challenge
  • Ability to multi-task, sometimes under pressure
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload
  • Self-starter, initiative and motivated to achieve end goals
  • Team player, with the ability to thrive working in close knit environment

Company benefits are provided on completion of either six months service, or a successful probation period whichever is sooner.
