Enviresearch Ltd, part of RSK Group, is seeking a Senior Regulatory Affairs Consultant to join their regulatory and environmental risk assessment teams based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The post holder will be supervised by, and accountable to the Head of Regulatory Affairs. This full-time, permanent role offers flexible working arrangements and can be office-based or on a hybrid basis. We also welcome applications from candidates who are looking to work remotely from other locations. 

Enviresearch deliver regulatory and scientific consultancy services to the chemicals industry. Our clients are those operating within UK and EU markets and who need to ensure compliance with relevant chemical legislation under pesticide regulations (e.g. Reg 1107/2009), biocidal product regulations (e.g. Reg 528/2012), general-use chemicals regulation (e.g. ‘REACH’), and classification, labelling and packaging regulations (e.g. Reg 1272/2008).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide key expertise within regulatory affairs of pesticides and biocides under the Plant Protection Products and Biocidal Products Regulation
  • Preparing and compiling registration dossiers
  • Data gap analysis and advice on testing strategies
  • Building strong relationships with clients and regulatory authorities
  • Providing regulatory support and advice to ensure regulatory compliance is met
  • Lead, and be responsible for, the delivery of projects in accordance with both technical standards and commercial agreements
  • Demonstrate leadership within the Regulatory Affairs team, driving projects forward, supporting the Head of Regulatory Affairs, and providing training, advice, and mentorship to junior team members

Person Specification:

  • We are seeking candidates with a degree or higher degree in chemistry or a relevant science subject
  • Experience in PPP regulatory affairs or registrations, particularly in chemistry and analytical methods
  • A solid working understanding of Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 is essential, while knowledge of Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 is desirable
  • Understanding of the associated registration procedures and data requirements is also essential
  • The ideal candidate will be solution-oriented, capable of demonstrating innovative approaches to solving complex problems, and committed to maintaining and development of a service based on excellence
