We are currently recruiting for a Head of Risk, Resilience and Security to join our HSQE Department within Manchester’s iconic Metrolink network.

As Head of Risk, Resilience and Security you will lead a range of assurance and compliance activities, leading a team of specialist subject matter experts and the day-to-day management of these activities. The role is responsible for ensuring information security, cyber security and counter terrorism frameworks and processes are effectively implemented, monitored and continuously improved.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Implementation of information security policy, processes, and procedures to maintain ISO27001 certification and continually improve the ISMS.
  • Ownership of the Security Management and Business Continuity plans to meet contractual obligations.
  • Implement Cyber security frameworks to support Keolis group and LRSP requirements.
  • Coordinating KAM's enterprise risk management framework and developing and testing business continuity plans.
  • PCI-DSS compliance management to support our client’s PCI-DSS responsibility as well as KAM’s own PCI-DSS responsibilities as a merchant.
  • Data protection/GDPR principles/policy, process and procedure, supporting our client as their Data Processor.

What you’ll bring:

We are looking for the right individual who will be a proactive, visible leader able to provide subject matter expertise in all things related to risk, business continuity and information security (ISO27001, cyber security, PCI-DSS business continuity/disaster recovery management), while also supporting KAM’s GDPR compliance and ensure data protection policies and processes are effectively implemented. Some of the key attributes to success would be;

  • An experienced leader with an expert level understanding of UK Information and Cyber Security principles, frameworks (including ISO 27001, PCI and cyber essentials desirable) policies and procedures.
  • Innovation and imagination, challenging the status quo.
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Experienced in working in a highly safety and security focused and regulated environment.

What we will need to check:

If you are successful, we will need to complete several pre-employment checks prior to you starting. These include.

  • Criminal Records self-declaration check, in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974).
