About you

The successful applicant will contribute towards supporting the development of our Leaving Care project - Staying Close, Staying Connected. The successful candidate will support the service leadership to deliver an effective and efficient service which improves the outcomes for young people leaving care across East Anglia.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience of working with a housing provider or a housing related organisation. 
  • The ability to work with external housing providers to ensure the quality and availability of housing for care leavers.
  • The ability to manage a team of housing workers.
  • Experience and an understanding of housing and related support for vulnerable people, the housing and benefit system.
  • The ability to maintain good working relationships with partner agencies to promote growth of the service and positive outcomes for services leavers.
  • A basic understanding of the principles of adult and child safeguarding. 
  • A current valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle. 

 

You will be enthusiastic, creative and motivated with a professional, caring and calm approach. You will be able to demonstrate commitment, flexibility and imagination, have experience of working in an emotionally intelligent way, be resilient and have the maturity to offer a balanced perspective.  Your supporting statement should closely reflect the requirements stipulated in the Person Specification.

 

Qualifications

Candidates must have an IOSH qualification, a NEBOSH qualification would be desirable.
