Girls’ Division Senior School is looking to appoint an experienced professional to provide confidential and efficient administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, and in particular the Assistant Head responsible for extra-curricular activities, community action, events and new staff induction.

 

The role will include setting up and maintaining the extra-curricular activities and sports programmes on an online platform, and providing regular reports to pastoral staff regarding extra-curricular activities and sports participation. The role will also include publicising extra-curricular activities, Community Action and achievements in aspects of school life via display material and social media.

 

The successful candidate will have proven experience in providing an effective and efficient administration service, excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, databases and web-based information. They will also have experience of record-keeping and the organisation of paper and computer records.

 

 

The hours of work are 35 hours per week, between Monday and Friday, term time, plus an additional 10 days to be worked during the school holidays (working 37 weeks, paid for 42.4 weeks which includes holiday pay). The normal hours of work will be 8.30am until 4.30pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break per day. Term time equates to 175 days per year, plus the additional 10 days equates to 185 days to be worked.

In Autumn 2021, significant changes were made to the leadership structure of the School Foundation, investing the newly created position of Head of Foundation with overall responsibility. Within the new structure, there are three sections: Girls’ Division, Boys’ Division and Primary Division. A Head of each Division and the Head of Foundation, together with the Clerk and Treasurer, are the Foundation’s Senior Officers; they are directly accountable to the Governors.

 

Two adjoining and similar buildings, now attached by a state-of-the art Sixth Form Centre, house the Boys’ and Girls’ Senior Schools, each of which provides a traditional academic education from the age of 11 years. The Primary Division includes separate Junior Schools for boys and girls from the age of 7 and a co-educational Infant School and Nursery.
