Are you an experienced and passionate Housing professional who can provide strong, visible and trusted operational leadership and direct line management to Housing Advisers?

About us

We are an award-winning not for profit housing association that currently owns nearly 8,600 homes across County Durham.  We offer more than just a home. We help improve the lives of the people living in our homes and in our places.  We work hard to make sure those homes are high quality, sustainable and adaptable, while meeting tenants’ current and future aspirations. We offer support that help people into work and training and increase their financial confidence and stability.

There is no Plan B. There is no Planet B either. Now in the third and final phase of our nine-year Plan A, our strategy for 2022-25 and beyond requires ourselves, our suppliers, partners, and customers to raise our game with a primary focus on supporting sustainable places. To achieve this our new build and acquisition programme, regeneration work and home improvement programme will all be focused on improving lives through sustainable homes and places.

About the role

As a Senior Housing Adviser, you will provide day to day operational support, advice, and guidance to the Housing Advisers to enable effective and efficient decision making and deliver operational efficiencies.

You will be the “voice of the customer”, advocating on their behalf and owning their enquiries, ensuring a joined-up service is delivered together with other internal stakeholders to ensure an excellent customer experience.

About you

You put our tenants at the heart of everything you do. You will be an experienced, credible, and resilient housing professional with proven experience of providing a range of housing and related services to customers and communities.

The ability to manage a demanding housing workload of complex and contentious ASB cases will be essential, together with the skills to engage with a range of stakeholders on emotive, complex and sensitive matters.

Educated to NVQ Level 4 in a relevant subject is desirable, but alternatively you will be able to demonstrate the equivalent skills and experience, together with your commitment to professional personal development and learning.

If you are an experienced housing practitioner looking to take your first steps into housing management this is the ideal role for you.
