Community Safe & Well Coach

Salary: £13,384 a year

This is a Permanent, Rolling Rota vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

*This role is evenings and weekends only, including overnight sleep-in shifts*

As a Community Safe and Well Coach, you’ll visit customers in our refuge and community-based safe accommodation to complete safe and well checks and carry out risk assessments during the evenings and on weekends. You’ll deal with any problems that may arise and put solutions in place.

 

Job requirements

  • Visit customers and complete safe and well checks, as agreed by the team.
  • Make sure customers feel welcome when they move-in to our accommodation and are fully aware of the support they can access.
  • Update customer focused safety plans and risk management plans to keep customers as safe as possible as new risks arise.
  • Answer the on-call out-of-hours line and respond to any issues or emergencies from customers and their children, both in refuge and community-based accommodation.
  • Communicate with neighbours and work with external services, where appropriate, to make sure any problems are dealt with quickly and appropriately.

 

What we’re looking for

  • A good level of education such as GCSE English and maths, or equivalent.
  • Experience risk assessing and supporting people with complex needs.  
  • A genuine understanding of people in abusive relationships.
  • Someone with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Someone able to problem solve and think quickly on their feet.
  • Someone with a passion for supporting people in a non-judgemental way.
  • Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle for work.
  • DBS check.
