Your role
We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor based at Carn Hatchery.
As a Supervisor the employee is required to operate effectively; processing, packing, boxing, labelling and counting product as required. The Supervisor is required to oversee that the hatchery operatives effectively carry out manual tasks and chick sexing with due attention to welfare and quality.
The hours of work are Friday- Tuesday 12/2pm- 8/10pm (Transfer Shift).
The successful candidate will be required to be part of an oncall team on a rotational basis.
The rate of pay is £15.83 per hour.

- Basic Computer literacy is beneficial.
- 12 months factory experience is essential.
- 12 months hatchery experience is desirable.

- The ability to organise and prioritise work is essential.
- Ability to solve problems essential.
- Mechanical aptitude essential.
- Positive attitude to work and others is essential.
- Able to undertake responsibility essential.
- Evidence of leadership qualities essential.
- Awareness of health and safety essential.
- Awareness of hygiene is desirable.
- Must be available for night & weekend cover, as required.
