Malaria Consortium is recruiting 6 Field Officer to join our team in Stung Treng, Ranatankiri and Oddor Meanchey Provices.

The Field Officer is accountable and responsible for the direct implementation of all field activities within the (sub)villages, remote settlements, plantations and hard to reach communities. The Field Officer is under the leadership of the cervical cancer Program Manager.

This position is based in the sub-office of one of the provinces of Oddor Meanchey, Ratanakiri and Stung Treng, where the project is implemented.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Prior experience working in a health care, social work or international development projects with community volunteers
  • Experience on project implementation at field level in the public health sector, preferably with community volunteers
  • Prior experience working with at least one of the projects target groups, cross border communities, migrant mobile populations, forest goers, entertainment workers and ethnic communities
  • Sound knowledge of the target areas and ability to travel in this areas on moto and by boat as required
  • Ability using MS Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Basic written skills in English
  • Proven ability to work remotely and with minimal supervision
  • Strong commitment and work ethic
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to maintain strong relationships with community and partners
  • Ability to managing competing work demands, good time management and coordination skills
  • Bachelor degree in health care area, nurse or midwife

This role is conditional of Malaria Consortium securing funding for this role.  

Due to the nature of this role we will be reviewing applications on an ongoing basis and the role might be filled and closed before the closing date. Early applications are encouraged.

This is a fixed term contract for the period of 2 years.
