This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We are looking for a Youth Engagement Officer to join our Customer Engagement and Inclusion Team.  You will be responsible for providing support to vulnerable young people both in schools and through holiday clubs.

In this rewarding role, you will deliver mental toughness resilience activities in schools which promote better mental health and raise aspirations amongst young people.  You will also coordinate a significant programme of stimulating school holiday activities to secondary aged young people.

The postholder will develop innovative and effective methods of engagement which support young people to make positive choices, enabling them to thrive in their education and beyond. Being a self-starter, you will lead by example, working proactively and imaginatively using own initiative with minimal supervision to develop and co-ordinate projects and initiatives. You will work from a range of locations and seek out opportunities to source funding and resources to continuously improve delivery and push boundaries.

You should demonstrate a good understanding of the pressures faced by young people, through practical experience of working in a variety of settings including schools. This should include understanding and application of safeguarding principles and The Children’s Act.
