About the role  

This role is strictly for the students of Middlesbrough College/ Open University. The role will entail numerous responsibilities including the delivery of Sports Coaching sessions or Fitness Instructing. The sports coaching delivery will be within student enrichment sessions in college or off-site within schools. The Fitness Instructing will be working within the college gym delivering inductions, personal training, and fitness classes.

 

The successful candidate will have:  

  • Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • To hold a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing or willing to work towards a Sports coaching qualification within an agreed timescale.
  • Good oral and written communication skills with a capacity to deal effectively with staff, students, parents, employers and others.
  • To have good time management, administrative and organisational skills.
  • To have the ability to work with all ages and abilities across the Sports Development and Exercise Continuum of foundation, participation, performance of excellence.
  • To be able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the College’s Core Values.
  • Current and relevant coaching and / or instructing experience.
  • Experience of Customer Service
