The Vacancy
The Senior Systems Analyst role forms part of the Platforms team within the Technology Department at Zen Internet.
Your responsibilities include the design, delivery and support of business applications and functionality on the Salesforce platform (CRM, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and CPQ) for Zen Internet.
Additionally, you will proactively work with business users to help improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Zen’s Salesforce platform.
Responsibilities
• Taking the lead on key elements of short and long term Salesforce planning, including the creation and ownership of roadmaps and plans
• Interacting daily with stakeholders to understand and evaluate business processes and key requirements, proactively working to resolve issues
• Applying deep knowledge of Salesforce functionality and configuration to customer needs and requirements
• Salesforce Subject Matter Expert - acting as the bridge between the Business and technology functions
• Work with Business Analysts and Project Managers to ensure that the analysis of business needs, the subsequent requirements/ user stories and business processes are clearly understood and captured
• Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
• Work with Solutions and Technical Architects to ensure that the design of proposed solutions is in line with best practices and design guidelines
• Contributing to and maintaining Salesforce Systems administration guidelines and standards
• Supporting more junior Systems Analysts working on the Salesforce platform in the development and configuration of Salesforce functionality ensuring that best practices and processes are followed
• Hands on configuring, administrating and controlling solutions via the Salesforce platform
• Proactive Platform monitoring and alerting (including licenses, certificates, api limits, data storage, backups, archiving, availability, performance, emails functionality) - allowing early identification of potential and actual platform issues
• Management and resolution of any platform issues including logging and escalation with Salesforce support / Account Manager as necessary
• Responsible for understanding latest technical and functional developments in Salesforce (new features and releases)
• Conducting impact analysis on current and new processes & tools
• Capturing customer insights and feedback to improve Salesforce effectiveness
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
• Excellent understanding of Salesforce technologies, platforms, tools, apps, data management and functionality
• Salesforce Certified Administrator (Advanced certification advantageous)
• Salesforce Developer / Platform App certification advantageous
• Hands on Salesforce configuration experience (Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud)
• Hands on configuration experience in one or more CPQ platforms (Salesforce, Vlocity)
• Experience of coaching and mentoring more junior colleagues and a proven track record of helping individuals develop technical, analytical and soft skills
• Extensive experience of eliciting and managing requirements
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable interacting with people at various levels of the organisation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a clear understanding of change management functions and processes
• Ability compile and present options and make recommendations
• Experience of designing solutions for complex business problems
• Ability to effectively prioritise and escalate issues as required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage expectations and explain detail in both a technical and business friendly way
• Detailed, organised, and results-oriented
